I thought I would post a few pictures of these babies. The Suburban I got from DrewKaree and the scooter I bought on ebay (both of which required a fair amount of work, but are both running great, well the back of the Suburban is full of new parts that need to go on it, but that I haven't gotten around to installing yet, new radiator, ball joints, and all the front suspension bushings),

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Knowing Paige's rate of proliferation of old cabs, I figure that tank will be carrying a fair number of old B&W games from the mid 70's pretty soon.  Congrats on the purchase, Paige, and congrats on the sale, Drew.  It's nice to see free enterprise at work!  (I thought I better throw that in there since this is the political everything else forum.)   ;)

If I were to see you driving that scooter...  I might have to run you over, just on principle.

Ok, license plates no longer accurately reflect my actual plate numbers (PHOTOSHOP!!!).

So far the only game the Suburban has hauled was a black and white one.

You aren't the only one, I have heard the phrase "Family Truckster" out of more than one mouth.

In reality that thing dwarfs a full size wagon, but it has almost the same general lines and angles (with that raised roof).

It's the double row of headlights that did it for me.  That's it, I gotta watch that this weekend!  ;D

Hey, mebbe you wanna blur out your license plate numbers.....just a thought

Is there any specific reason?  No seriously, I've always wondered why people do that...  I mean, it seems to me that when you're driving down the road, hundreds if not thousands of people can glance right over and look at it.  What can someone realy do with that knowledge?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Honda C70 step-thru. Ah, the memories of my first motorbike. Pile of sh*te as I remember and so glad to move on to an RG125 ;) Did manage to pull a wheelie on it once though by holding the front brake until at full throttle  - well lets face it, you are never going to power wheelie one!

That monster of a wagon is crying out for a Ghostbusters paint job!

Come and listen to a story 'bout a man name Paige

A poor arcade addict who was so full of rage

Couldn't shift cabs until one day

He bought a big old wagon and a scooter from ebay (Honda that is, old step thru)

Well the first thing you know old Paige is at the fair

His kin-folk said , "Paige, don't buy a cab from there". Said

Californy is the place y'oughta be, so he

gassed up the truck and moved to Beverely

Hills that is! Classic cabs, artwork intact!

Ol' Paige bought a dozen, thought that he was made

Next door neigbour was pres'dent of Ultracade

Paige reconstructed, filled them all with MAME

But the next door neighbour said "You can't use that name"

Copyright that is! Lawyers letters, cease and desist!

Well now it's time to say goodbye to Paige and all his kit

An' he would like to thank you for not Frankenpanelling it

You're all invited back again to this locality

T'have a heapin' helpin' of his arcade therapy

Classic gaming that is. Take a token, Play a game

Y'all come back, here!

I'm sure there must be a reason......but why would it make a difference if your real plates were showing.  That number is pretty readily available to any person who has the ability to go outside.

very nice teef two!  I couldn't let artistic talent such as thought go without a nod  :D  As far as those two vehicles go you have the gas guzzler 2000 and the mighty mite--between the two (assuming equal driving time) you probably average out to what most people spend on gas--of course everytime you look at the suburban the wrong way i can hear the gulping sounds from here :o

And i agree it needs to be painted white--it just has the ghostbusters profile (although i'm sure much larger than a 63 hearse)
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I actually drive the 100 mpg scooter about 10 times as much as the Suburban, of course the scooter won't get ANY driving dec, Jan, feb (and not much in nov and march). I should still average out to better mileage than the best of hybrids.

Suburbans are great. My wife's car is a '99 Suburban. It's great on trips for keeping the kids apart. Once we removed the OnStar from it, it's been reliable. It will easily haul cabs. Plus, it will win in collisions versus most other cars.

My office is only 3.3 miles from my home with no freeway driving necessary, so I could probably use a scooter. It rains so much here and is so hot in the summer that I don't know how practical it would be.
I have changed my nickname to "Cakemeister". Please do not PM the Buddabing account because I do not check it anymore.

I don't get that one...is that an Aussie thing?  Could be I'm beat like a drum, and I'm just not processing things right.....and it's a truck ;D

On the plus side, if Paige ever needs to haul the scooter somewhere, it'll fit in the back of the Suburban!

With collectable & special interest cars, it's done to prevent people from seeing a picture of the car online and then (presumably) finding your address and by extension, where the car is kept by running th plate number. In this case I can't see as it's worth the effort, since you can steal an old suburban in any town in the US.

Massachusetts Democratic capital of America has a law designed solely to keep poor people from driving? Imagine that!

Massachusetts Democratic capital of America has a law designed solely to keep poor people from driving? Imagine that!

Except the Democrats in charge (who are all very wealthy across the board, BTW) see it oppositely:

It creates more work for the auto repair field, who presumably would be needed to fix these cars.

Idiots.  No one driving a rusted out car would and most could not spend hundreds of dollars to repair the body and there are no pick and pull yards for spare parts.  All it has created is a class of people driving illegally or on stickers that were "bought" (inspector takes a fee for ignoring certain violations).
