Dance Dance: PSX to USB converter - special setup?
« on: May 13, 2005, 10:46:09 pm »
I just got a Dance pad with a PSX to USB converter shipped with it.

I noticed that when you are on the left arrow, the right wont
work, and same with the down and up arrow.

I found on a website that there are a few USB converters that
you have to do this to...

Special instruction after install (For Dance Dance Revolution)
Please remember to Press Start + Select + Up arrow on the dance pad to finish setup the dance pad (for 2 seconds)

...To get the pad to work correctly.  Anyone have one of these
things and know where to put this 'command' in?

I'm trying to get this thing working with epsxe and cant get past
this issue.  I'm about 89% sure this is one of the usb converters
that you need to do the 'special code' with....

...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

You don't have to input it at a certain time - just hold start, select, up on your dance pad or PSX controller to put it into "axis as buttons" mode, which will make it work.  Well, I hope.  If that doesn't do anything then it probably doesn't have that mode and you'll have to get one that does.
There is SO a spoon.
