only works on un-updated japanese psp's.

firmware 1.0

us shipped with 1.5 i beleive

Damn! Im so mad. I actually had a 1.0 Jap PSP and just recently I finally took the plunge and updated the firmware.

Now all these things are being released just for the 1.0's :(

give it some time.  They 'll find away around the limitation.  The haxors will eventually make their own firmware replacments like they have for the DS now

...I've read that any new products coming down the line for the PSP from Sony will require that you have the new 1.5 or greater firmware.

I also read (and this could just be a scare from Sony) that if you try to download version 1.0 you'll permanently crash the system and void your warranty.

...but that could just be a scare tatic...but I'm not betting my beloved PSP on it!
