That's a prototype controller, I think.  For example, all Xbox 2 controllers will be wireless and that thing clearly has a cord.  Here is a picture of what I think is a finalized controller.  A couple of other interesting pics too, such as a media center controller.  I think the big button in the center is for connecting to the LIVE online service.  You might notice in the last picture that there is some kind of camera, maybe an Eyetoy-like peripheral.

Yep. Rather than call it XBox2, they wanted to get a 3 in there to make it sound on par with the PS3.

WTF ? ? ? Where in the name of god are you going to college, the University of the Dark Ages?  Google is an invaluable, but free research tool.  They are in the process of scanning in every page of every book from multiple libraries around the world, including MIT, Harvard and Oxford IIRC.  Over 5 million books will be available in their entirety.

Don't get me wrong, Lexus Nexus, Ebsco Host and so on are fantastic, but what kind of jackasses are running your school?  I go to a conservative school in rural Utah and even they have the sense not to take censorship that far.

I can't even wrap my head around that.  You should get the hell out of there and get a real education somewhere.  Somewhere, perhaps, where doesn't feel that you need to be protected from information that they haven't hand selected for your delicate eyes.  Transfer immediately.  You're wasting your money.

....phew.....that really got me worked up.  I need yoga now.

That's funny, I read that Rumor Control, but somehow missed the pic of the PS3 controller with the built-in trackball.  Of course, they call that particular rumor bogus (and the orb on the Xbox 360 controller is not a trackball; it's a big button).  But still, it looks like it might actually work for a FPS game.  Still not nearly as well as Keyboard/Mouse, but better than an analog stick, anyway.

yea, i just put that there for the pic. if you go to the web site one the pic, they are actually making it. however the wording leads one to beleive they are having a hard time selling sony on the idea.

i want one.
