Guild Wars: Anyone Playing it?

Has anyone taken the plunge to play Guild Wars yet?  No monthly cost MMORPG.  I would love to start a guild with some people.  Let me know!

I've looked at it, and it seems cool. I just don't know if I have that kind of time. The whole "free" thing really caught my eye, though. :)

Yep. I bought it and I can say that so far it's pretty enjoyable.  Don't get mislead, though. This isn't a MMO.  The only areas that will ever have more than 8 players in them are the "hub" areas where you basically ask people to group up to do missions.

Picture a souped-up Diablo where instead of a Battle.net chatroom, you actually create your groups in certain zones in the game. Other than the hub ares, the max number of people per zone is 4 in the beginning, eventually becoming 8 on later missions.

As far as graphic quality. I'm really impressed.  More photo-realistic than World of Warcraft, but it runs just as smooth (or smoother) even on older systems.  The interface is pretty intuative, although you may find the abilities/skills acet of teh game a bit confusingat first.

All in all, considering there's NO monthly fee. I say this game is worth it.  Guilt-free online fun.

Heh.  Well I've been paying for WoW and CoH since they launched.  Havent played WoW fully since January.  Just gave out 300 pieces of gold from my warrior before deletion heh.

CoH.... well lets say I never made a character greater than lvl 6.  ;)

They are, but I have to have a good group of people to quest with.  My issues stemmed in WoW that we had a set schedule to play in my guild.  Well my PC busted for a bit and when I returned.... well everyone was several levels higher.  No one wanted to aid me in catching up.  So I lost interest.

City of Heroes....  it was a cool game.  I just couldnt find anyone to play with.  Just one of those things.
