MAMEWAH Emulators
« on: May 06, 2005, 11:24:45 am »
Hi all you MAME experts,

I've been playing around with emulators for a couple years, but I am very new to the MAME scene. I've got parts on order and am in the final stages of planning my cab, but I have some questions that I'd like to pose to those who know. I really like the way MAMEWAH works with MAME. How it hides Windows with custom layouts and all, but I have run into problems when trying to use it with different emulators. I've tried the newest VirtuaNES and I can't get it to work at all. My questions are as follows:

1. What emulators do you use (i.e. what NES, SNES, Atari, etc...) with MAMEWAH? I know everyone has their favorite, but I just want to get an idea of what ones people have had good luck with.

2. Can you just copy the MAME.ini file, rename it to the new emulator, and change the exe and rom paths and have it work?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

jcrouse has an excellent website with emulators and ini files all setup for MAMEWAH:

Yes I use a different Nintendo emulator than him, but nits are so pointless when he's put together such a great resource.
