Space Ace DVD-ROM and Daphne
« on: May 04, 2005, 05:40:32 pm »
Ok Dahpne experts,
I think I am really close to getting this to work. I used DVD2DAPH to convert space ace roms for daphne. I have those in the SADVD folder in daphne. I got the roms from d-l-p.com. I then pointed to the ace_dvdrom.txt framefile using the daphneloader configure menu. I am still getting this message:
--DAPHNE version 0.99.6
--Command line is: C:\daphne\daphne.exe sae vldp -framefile C:\daphne\framefile\ace_dvdrom.txt -fullscreen
--CPU : GenuineIntel 2200 MHz || Mem : 256 megs

Anyone know what I can do next?

Looks to me like your framefile has the link to your M2V files incorrect.  Check it and try again.

Thanks alot Dreamweb. After nearly a month I got it going. Unfortunatley now I got 2 new issues. When I play theres is a weird chime sound when I prees a button, and when I lose and it starts on a new turn, the scene jumps around. It will play as if I am making correct moves then act completely chaotic. What could this be?

I had an issue on my PC (and this only happened when I used
Svideo out for some reason)
that when a screen ended (in DL) and it did a 'search' for the next
scene... that the sound kinda freaked out and repeated it self
until the next scene would start (maybe 4 or 5 seconds later)

This probably has nothing to do w/your issue.. but just wanted to
throw it out there 'just in case'

If you go into the Daphne folders, and play the '.wav'
files that should play for 'correct' and 'incorrect' moves, does
the .wav file play correctly?

...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"
