Simpsons bowling
« on: May 03, 2005, 06:06:39 pm »
I got some new 'stuff', including Simpsons bowling.  I run MAME32 (.79?), but Simpsons bowling isn't on da list?  Do I need to do somethin special to get this game to run?  What about CHD hypersports - don't see dat one either?

I searched for Simpsons bowling but only saw a bunch of references to no/low sound and what type of machine you need to run it.

I need to know how to start it!  I did see the reference to pressing F2 while it boots up for the first time, but I can't even get to that point.

anyone know?

Thanks!

Looks like I'm one version short on Mame to get this game on my list.  I'll mess w/it after I shovel in some Hamburger Helper...

I've updated to MAME32 .96, can see Simpsons Bowling.  Good.

Now, except for my trackball & it's buttons, my control panel doesn't work.  Bad.

What'd I do?  I updated from MAME32 .79 to .96, and lost my CP.  Any ideas?  New feature?   ???

goto www.mame.net and read the faq.  There is a special case for simpsons bowl there.  But its a 4 or 5 step process.

I believe your problem is MAME .84? introduced a new controller scheme.  Either use HowardC's ini to xml converter or redo your controller in the new xml format by hand.

Or use MAME .83  ;)

Thanks for the responses.  I think one of the features of mame .96 is you need to wait 1 day before playing.  When I got home today, everyhting worked fine...gremlins.
