How to get a screensaver to work in Mame through Mamewah
« on: May 01, 2005, 05:50:45 pm »
I have been searching and reading multiple posts but cannot figure out how to make my screensaver work when a mame game is running.  I am using Mamewah and am using the screensaver option it provides and it runs great when I have the mamewah menus up.   However if I select a game, the screensaver willl not activate, if the game is running, no matter how long I let it sit.  Is there something I have to set in the Mame .ini file to get it to work.  I can't find any setting in Mame that deal with screensavers.   Thanks in advance.

That option is not available with MAMEWAH or any other FE that I know of.  You can TRY and set a standard Windows screensaver (Right-click on your Desktop, select Properties and click the Screensaver tab), but I'm willing to bet that even if the screensaver kicks in you'll have problems getting back to MAME automatically.

Other than that, I'm afraid your options are pretty limited for getting the screensaver to kick in while a game is running.
