Mamewah: Quick way to refresh game list?
« on: April 30, 2005, 09:25:27 am »
The only way I've been able to refresh my game list is
to delete my settings for my emulator (mame)
and recreate the setup using the wizard...

Is there a quicker way to just refresh the game list?
(I am also using the Mamewah Config program...)

 ???
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

In mamewah config, click the emulator and make it expadn so you can se the default game list.  Delete it.  Then right-click the meulator and pick make default game list.  You'll now have a brand new game list.
I think thats what you're aiming for.  MAMEWAH also has a refresh game list option if you open up the menu and pick the Game List category, it'll be there.  Hope this helps

Cool.. thanks a bunch...
I never really did much with the 'game list'
in mamewah.. (can't ya tell?)

Looks like once you have a list, you can modify what shows
and what doesn't as well, eh?

Thanks again

I've gone the other way with Mamewah. I have too many lists! I have a regular list without Mahjong, mature, unplayable and chd, then I have one each for: classics, fighters, neogeo, crazy japanese vert shooters, sports, spinner games, puzzle, trackball, favorites, games I remember playing in the 80s, lightgun, 360 driving, 270 driving...I need to get rid of some of these! Curse you screamer for Listgen.NET, does the word "enabler" mean anything to you?

Okay.. problem.

When I Right click on the emulator and click on GENERATE DEFAULT
LIST, it looks like it goes through the procedure of finding all
the games, but the little notpad icon with the game list
DOESNT SHOW UP after the scan is complete?

I think I'm missing a step here somewhere...
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

Just figured it out...
I had to manually create the list (notpad icon)
then inside of it, just move over whatever games I want to
show up in MAMEWAH...

Ahhh.. its all so clear now.
