Ultrastyle as shell (3d error msg)
« on: April 27, 2005, 10:55:47 pm »
I just setup ultrastyle and was looking to set it to my shell. upon loading it gave me an error about not being able to load some 3d stuff. I went back after explorer loaded and its fine. Is there something that loads after exploere that enables the 3d stuff in ultrastyle? can I load this with ultrastyle as a shell and still nix exploere.exe?

thx

The only thing I can tell you is to put Ultrastyle in the Run Key in the registry instead of making it the shell.  I know that when you close Ultrastyle it won't shut down your system like it would if it were the shell. ^_^

Where is the Shell Key you are altering in the registry?

Well putting it in the run area is just like adding it to the startup folder.. which is what is currently in play on this pc.
