Both styles (pyramid lines one and the "pepper" squares one) would be nice.  They're small and limited color, should be pretty easy to create?

$15  for a freakin' sticker seems a touch much.

I'd agree with you - if they were just a sticker.

They're a die-cut piece of aluminum with the artwork silkscreened on top.  Good luck finding a better price, unless you make a lot of them, that would break the price per piece down a lot.  But then you have to actually be able to sell them.
