Any way to stretch or make games wider?
« on: April 24, 2005, 04:01:53 pm »
I am currently trying to get a bunch of emulators running on my PC (p4 1.3 geforce4200 mamewah front end) for a cab I will sooon be building.  My basic question is this (currently I can output to pc monitor or tv using s video)

Is there any "easy" way to make a game like say MERCS wider (side to side) to fit my screens?

Or is there any easy way to make a game like tecmo bowl wider (up and down) to fit my screens?

Thanks in advance!

I have been searching on these forums and finding many helpful answers over the last week and this is my first need to post, I just cant find anyhting concrete on either subject.

in the mame.ini enable hwstretch & if that still doesnt fill your screen, try turning off keep aspect ratio.

Vibez told you the easiest way.

Otherwise only Advance Mame can do it properly. ;)
