Mamewah Config and Layouts
« on: April 23, 2005, 09:42:03 am »
I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I have no idea what.  I can config multiple emulators with no problem going through the mamewah config wizard, but what I'm having problems with is setting different layouts for each.

So this morning I backed up my mamewah folder and started fresh, i.e. unzipped a fresh mamewah and launched config.  I started the wizard, added MAME with no problem, set the layout, (from CPViewer's site) and then proceeded to import the .ini file for Daphne (also from CPViewer's site) and got all the settings good to go, then imported the layout for it.

I launch mamewah, and boom!  my mame layout is shot, I switch to Daphne and it's there!?!?!

I know I've got to be doing something very simple wrong.  What is it?

Screaming has identified this issue before, has to do w/ the drag and drop ability to move emulators on the list.  All you can do is just replace the layouts, I think...check w/screaming for more info

Are you sure you're setting the layout for the correct emulator?

MAMEWAH Config should be okay with basic add/removing/changing layouts, it just messes up when you delete an emulator (as far as I know anyway).

I'm getting to the point where I can get back to MAMEWAH Config.. I'll take a look and see about rev-vamping the layout management.
