Build Your Own Hammock Stand - Free plans until I don't know when can be found here:

http://www.woodcraft.com/Ubild_hammockframe

Some choice 2x4's, 1x4's, galvanized/stainless screws and some carriage bolts and you'll be good to go!

Look at it, for Pete's sake!  You don't even have to round off the ends if you don't want to, which means it's just chopping off the wood at the proper length and screwing/bolting the darn thing together!

PLUS, when your wife wants to relax in the back yard, you'll look like a hero for nothing more than a few bucks for materials and the price of a hammock.  Happy Mother's Day honey, I was thinking of YOU, honest!  ;)

I don't believe in hammocks.

Oh, it's true, shmokes.  I've seen them with my own eyes.  They exist ;)

Hank: Uh, hi, Homer. What can I do for you?

Homer: Sir, I need to know where I can get some business hammocks.

Hank: Hammocks? My goodness, what an idea. Why didn't I think of that?  Hammocks! Homer,
there's four places. There's the Hammock Hut, that's on third.

Homer: Uh-huh.

Hank: There's Hammocks-R-Us, that's on third too. You got Put-Your-Butt-There?

Homer: Mm-Hmm.

Hank: That's on third. Swing Low, Sweet Chariot... Matter of fact, they're all in the same
complex; it's the hammock complex on third.

Homer: Oh, the hammock district.

Hank: That's right.

Did you copy and paste that link I had above?  If so, that was the problem.  I just shortened the VISIBLE url.  The plan is still available, all you gotta do is click that link above.

Here's what the butt-ugly url looked like BEFORE I shortened it:

http://www.woodcraft.com/Ubild_hammockframe.aspx

I'm using the OTHER board theme, which automatically underlines all hyperlinks, so I didn't think anything of it, as the line showed the linky thingy.

Try clicking the url in the first post, or copy/paste that link above.  It's still up.
