Mame resolution tool question
« on: April 22, 2005, 04:06:59 pm »
Ok I am using "M.A.M.E. Resolution Tool v2.0" and I can't get it to work. I must be missing something.

My executable location is : C:\Emulators\Mame32\

My ini location is : C:\Emulators\Mame32\INI\

My rom location is : C:\Emulators\ROMS\MameRoms\

Arcade mode is avga9200.txt

I then proceed to "Find Game" and it doesn't do anything. Typed in search "mk3", "mortal kombat". I know I'm missing something stupid.

Under view you have to do.... generate native mode list to have it get the native modes from mame.

Tried that and it gives me nothing.  Is there anything I have to do from Mame itself?

Actually someone just sent me the following I'll give it a try.

Use the official Windows command line version of Mame, not Mame32. Do not use Mame32 with MameWah.
Open up a command line and go to the folder that contains mame.exe
Type in mame -cc to create the Mame INI file
Set up the res tool.

I use the win version of mame. I would suggest never using mame32 for such things

I just need to use mamewah more to launch games.  I am just so used to Mame32.  Need to find some more time so I can try this out.
