You gotta see this...its not that crap on ebay. http://www.lumenlab.com/  Look in the project gallery...now I have another reason for my fiance to yell at me cuz I'm taking up garage space hehehe  ;D

Is this the project that uses a laptop LCD duct-taped to an old everhead projector? It always sounded like too much work to me. Of course, I'd do a completely half arsed job of it.

All the pictures show the image in complete darkness, which I'm sure gives you the best result.  How realistic is it to watch it with the light on or during the daytime?

Probably not really...

Does anyone ever buy an actual projector to watch with the light on or during the daytime?  There's a reason people use these.  That reason is size. 

If someone is buying OR building a projector for viewing in something other than a dark environment, they haven't put much thought into it.

This is for use in the dark. Which is the only time Id use it.. I saw the other posts and the first one was awesome. The second is that crappy one that uses an overhead projector. This you build an actual projector. not just duct tape a lcd to an overhead projector.  here is some pics
