Dragon's Lair DVD ROMS and Daphne

  I just recieved my Space ace, DL1 and 2 dvd-roms. I can't get them to work even after downloading the win dvd and the stuff from digital leisure. I downloaded daphne prior to this....How exactly do I get it to recognize the discs...Please Help...this Win-DVD player is like 80 dollars.

What is it doing?  "Doesn't work" is a bit generic 

Also, OS?  CPU?  RAM?

I have DL1 and SA working through Daphne, and DL2 working off of the Digital Leisure DVD-ROM..  Using XP Pro..  I know that some have been unsuccessful getting DL1 to work unless using Daphne...

It takes a little reading to get things running smoothly but it's not too difficult, even for the inexperienced (like me! ).

GAH!  Everyone gets it running through Daphne but me!  I bought the DVD-ROM version of DL2 and can't rip the video files

Are you sure?  I ripped both SA and DL from the DVD-ROM versions (just checked).  Maybe you're referring only to DL2, yes?

I believe you're supposed to rip DL and SA from DVD-ROM..  At least, that's what Project Arcade states 

I _now_ know that the DL2 DVD-ROM won't work..  Doesn't make it any less painful, though    Wish I could return the DVD-ROM and get the DVD-Video of that one disc

You can pretty much use ANY version of Space Ace and Dragon's Lair, but for Dragon's Lair II... You will need the DVD Video version.

... and when you say 'DVD-Video version', you're referring to the Playstation/X-BOX type, correct?  If this is the case, there's a ton of 'em on ebay right now for $3.99.
