Looking for a bright side and I found one. When I make my cab 1200mm wide (the maximum standard width), this is one less critical cut I have to make with my evil and possessed circular saw.
I'd sell that saw on e-bay. I hear you can make a fortune on normal stuff that is evil and possessed. See if there's a casino that has a need for a possessed circular saw

I think the bolt-on CP is the way to go, and if you're not satisfied with taking that much room away from the backside of the monitor, it appears as if you have way more than enough support that you could take some away from underneath the CP.

Hey, when you're cutting with your circ saw, try to drop the blade further down to make the cut end as square as possible, especially on that back angle - the cut-in on the lower half. You'll have less to clean up or avoid the whole "use the saw on the other side to finish the cut - thereby screwing up the cut"
