Shmokes, you've prolly already seen this, but for those who haven't and might be a little intrigued....the first link is the "original" upon which the second link built, then decided to improve upon....the first link seems to be able to be built for under $500-ish, dunno on the price for the second one.

There was also the dude who had a billion monitors and configured them to look like the cockpit of a 747, but I don't have a link for that one...that was pretty cool too, and I bet my wife would like that setup more than me having monitors randomly scattered about the house, but....meh....I'm the man, I'm not SUPPOSED to care what she thin...OUCH! STOP!  PUT DOWN THE FRYI....OUCH! DAGNABBIT, I WEAR THE PANTS IN THI...SONOFAB......I gotta go now guys :(

Now if you took a Joyrider, and added a Twistygrip... ;)

The hard part is going to be getting my wife to dress in a gold bikini and sticking some big-ass pastries to the side of her head!

We have a Navy flight sim at school.  I'm in a pool of students they are going to use as "test pilots".  I can't wait!  :D

I remember that one..... it was awesome....I don't have any of my old issues to look up what month it was in there.......Wife gave me the choice of getting rid of some old magazines or getting rid of some hardware  :( so the magazines went...............

I'd have told her you can find some room.  You've got your eye on a wife-sized parcel she's been hoarding ;)

Or better yet, do what I do.  I always tell her my stuff has the potential to bring in money, she'll have to get rid of some of HER crap to make room for my valuable commodities, and I start suggesting stuff for her to get rid of.  I always start with the knick-knacks, then I move on to her closet....seems every time I do that, she goes and has herself a shutupsicleTM  ;D

Naw...your wife is right.  I keep all my Maximum PCs and Wireds and Playboys and Food & Wines and I rarely revisit any of them besides Food & Wine for recipes.  I'll reference something in the others periodically, but not enough to make it worth the space they take up.  And when I DO decide to look something up it usually takes WAY more time than it's worth because I never know which issue I saw something in so I usually look through about a year's worth before I find what I'm looking for.

Speaking of the magazines, I think I'm going to let my Playboy subscription lapse and it's for a comical reason.  I think the articles have been going downhill.  You know, the whole, "I read playboy for the articles," bit of comedy...  Well, of course that's not the only reason I got it, but Playboy used to have a great reputation.  Some of the literary world's best writers contributed on a regular basis and playboy was known for getting fascinating exclusive interviews.  With non-photographic content going down the drain what good is the magazine?  I have to be connected to the internet in order to post to this website, so it's not as though there is a shortage of porn around.  But I digress...

Maximum PC isn't as good as it once was either, sadly but I'm going to hold onto that one for a bit longer.

Ya, what's with the "duck, duck, goose" editors?  Hopefully the new guy (who's been around for a while) will take it back in the right direction...I find myself reading or being interested in less of each issue
