Help with Mamewah config path
« on: April 12, 2005, 02:53:39 pm »
For some reason, whenever I specify a config path in the Mame.ini for Mamewah, it stops loading up a game after a config file has been created for it. I can get around this problem by simply leaving the space next to game_specific_config_path blank and not putting in the folder location, but then I have to re-configure the game's controls every time I play a game, which you could imagine is quite a pain. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Why would you have to re-configure the game's controls every time? Mame, for example, saves that information... ???

Yeah, but the way that works is by saving the settings as a .cfg file. And if I specify in Mamewah where the .cfg are located, the roms will not play. A command prompt window pops up over the screen, and then it closes down and goes back to the Mamewah list.

Agh... Me and my stupid perfectionist head. I got so worked up over the whole conficg path thing that I never actually tested just setting up the controls and restarting the rom to see if anything changed. It turned out that that config path thing isn't important at all and that my configurations will be saved anyway. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.
