I've had this machine for a few weeks but here's some pics and info on my X-Men. I got this from the same arcade that sold me the $50 Tempest.

Monitor look a bit small though because of the huge instruction cards/character things.  I would love to have that thing though!

We had one of these in the local arcade I frequented in high school...

the question is... I forget completely how the side players' joysticks were set up..  What I mean by that is, for the players on the furthest right and left, is their "up" position basically right and left in relation to the front of the cab?

Man, I miss that machine. I'd love one in my own place...

Looking at that just gave me an interesting idea? Would you mind measuring it and posting the diminsions online. If not it's ok. I think that cab is badass. I may have myself a new project. Bigger is always better.

I also like that machine , its a shame you can only use that xmen pcb with it though, i dont think many games would work spanning two monitors.

That is the biggest mother of a cabinet I have ever seen. Man that is huge! Good luck getting it complete. Must be 4-5 foot wide!   :o

Please kindly post measurements  ;D

Man!  That is one beast of a cabinet.  I pity the fool who has to move it anywhere.  ;D  I can think of 2 other games that use 3 screens, Rastan Saga, and a Ninja game whose name does not immediately spring to mind, but they would both play well in that cabinet, just sayin'.

Actually if I recall correctly the X-Men uses two monitors.  One being used via mirror.  Rastan (3?) would work the Ninja one does rerquire 3 monitors.  Heh.  I've always wanted one of those.  X-Men was one of my favorite games.  Alas, sadly 6 players don't shw up at my place very often.

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.  :) I was checking out the broken pcb for it last night. Some pins on the solder side were bent up and touching the PCB so I straightend them out. I fired up the PCB and started to play. I got the point where the sentinals crash through the wall in level 1 and I thought I could faintly hear sound. I switched into test mode and blindly found my way to the volume adjust. Sure enough, the sounds were working and I turned them up. I'm guessing the bent pins caused the trouble. The IC still has visible damage but so far I can't see any effect on the sound. I may have gotten lucky with this.

Gorgeous machine!

That's one of the cleanest garages I've ever seen.  Did you clean it just for the pic?   ;D

That Ninja game is Ninjawarriors, by Taito.

Tecmo Bowl and Darius also use those multi-monitor cabs.

I can't believe you thought that was his garage!  Clearly that is a 6-player Xmen storage facility!

Well, after rebuilding the right monitor that was dead, here's where I'm at with this thing.

It's better than being completely dead. No amount of adjustments helped it and I even swapped the 2 monitor adjustment control devices by the control panel to make sure the pots on them weren't the problem. I'm confident I'll be able to get this thing fixed soon. If anyone has ever fixed this problem (WGK7000) please let me know.

Matching numbers on a game don't mean anything, if your other monitor works I would swap it in without a second though.

Are you saying that serial numbers in general don't mean a thing or just having matching ones? I don't plan to sell this thing so I'm not worried about how much value it adds. I just think it's cool that they do match. I like game enough that I will do whatever I can to keep all the parts original.

If you look at the bolt pattern, it appears that 3 & 4 are both at the same angle as 1 & 2..  At least the joys are.
