How do I assign controls to the mouse in Mame?
« on: April 05, 2005, 10:16:49 pm »
I've got a few games that are supposed to use the trackball/mouse, as well as some analog controlled games. But I can't seem to figure out how to assign controls to the mouse. I tried just selecting the desired function and moved the mouse in the direction I wanted when it requested the input, but it didn't do anything. And yes, I did select "enable mouse" from default game options. Can someone please help?

In your mame.ini file, "mouse 1"

It already says "Mouse 1" in the ini file. Is there some special way that you have to assign the mouse to certain functions? It works in some trackball games, but for the rest and for games with analog control like Star Wars, there's no way for me to use the mouse. I think that the only reason it works with some trackball games is because it was set that way by default.
