Side art feedback
« on: April 05, 2005, 10:46:57 am »
After several trial attempts here is the design for my side art.  The name of the cabinet is Arcade Explosion.  Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions.  Thanks.

I think it looks great.  Another character you could put in there is BOMBER MAN JACK  hes kind of swooping out also.  I might get rid of superman for someone else but all up to you its your art.  Looks good though big props

The only problem i see with it is that there are too many comic book characters on it.  You've got Spiderman, Wolverine, Iron Man, and Superman basically all right next to each other.  I'd stick with a minimum of two of them.  When i look at them, the first thing i think about is comics, not an arcade.  Whereas when i look at Mario or Pacman, i think 'arcade'.  I'd take them out and replace them with more arcade themed characters, perhaps donkey kong bursting out with the princess under his arm.

The only other thing is that there is too much red.  I like the red background, but then you have red spiderman, superman which has alot of red, ironman which is red, and superpacman is punching the red ghost.....i don't know, it's just too much red for me.  It doesn't make the characters stand out, it's more like they blend in.  I'd change super pac man to punching Inky the blue ghost or clyde the orange ghost instead.

Overall, its nice work i think, just tone down on the comic aspect and a little less red and it'd look great in my opinion.

You may also want to rethink the turtle.  He is the only one not moving so it looks strange.  And I agree there may be too many comic book characters on there.  Other than that it really looks good.
Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.
