Since lazarus 4.0 is on it's way I thought I would address some issues with wrappers and emulators.

As you may or may not know, the u64emu (ki emulator) has finally been updated to allow both games to be launched from the same program.  This is NOT supported by the u64 wrapper, but this isn't an issue as the latest version doesn't add any new features.  Once a version is released that does, I will gladly update the wrapper.   The gui is severly unorganized and hard to navigate, making simulated keypresses a real pain at this point.  I will work on it when needed though.

Also a beta version of the latest pinmame is out.  This version is NOT supported by the visual pinball wrapper due to core class changes.  I won't be working on adding support for it until the beta is improved.  On my machine it is slow and crappy and doesn't work all the time.

Other than that, no new wrapper-related news to report... I just thought I would give a heads up.

Hello Howard,

Is Lazarus 4.0 the same thing as Dragon King?

If so, I'm glad to hear you are working on it again.  I have been waiting for your new release since you mentioned it a couple months ago.

Thank You,

Allister Fiend

Heh starting off dumb.... err I mean academically challenged newbie.

That post you replied to was posted in 2002. It's three years old!  Why did you take that update as the latest news?  Also u64emu is defunct, the homepage doesn't even exist anymore.  Finally there's no such version as 3.50.  3.0.5 is the latest version of u64emu and if you'll go to my homepage you'll see it's been updated (again, years ago)  to match.  It's no longer supported if you are having trouble, but I do apologize for not labeling it as such.

Killer instinct games are supported in mame, I suggest you try that as the emulation is far more accurate, ki2 emulation crashes in attract mode in u64emu, so really it's not a viable solution anyway unless you constantly watch the game to make sure it doesn't go past a certain point in attract mode.

Allister,

No it's not.  Again look at the date of this post, it's 2002.  But considering nobody in their right mind posts to a 3-year-old, dead post, I can understand your confusion.  Lazarus was my second front end, DK is my third.  I am working on it though but I don't post news about it because I'm taking my time.  Thanks for your interest.

And sorry for being so blunt njay, but next time use your head.  ;)
