Pelican Universal Arcade Help
« on: April 01, 2005, 01:22:56 am »
I got the Pelican Universal Arcade (PL-950), not the Real Arcade, to hack up for my custom controller. Wondering if anyone out there that has done this controller can help me out with the wiring. TIA

I used a couple of these in my Xbox/PS2 cab and they worked great.

Hello,
I hacked a pelican universal arcade stick with new buttons.  I have it hooked up and everthing works fine except for the start and back buttons (the mode button also works).  All the wires are hooked up exacly the same way as pelican had them.  I'm thinking maybe I need that seperate ground wire hooked up to them.  Do you think thats the answer?  Could you tell me how you did that?

Sorry I just saw that you guys were talking about that other pelican joystick.  I have the big real arcade universal one.  Do you still think that would work though?

I have the housing/encoder to a large version Pelican Universal (with separate grounds for every button, and theyre all hooked up), Ive just installed buttons/switches and started testing it and it has this problem:

All buttons work except all buttons/joystick stop responding/sending some times, semi-frequently, peculiarly except for the Mode button.  Pressing the Mode button on and then back off always sets the rest of the buttons/joystick working again. The brightness of the "Mode" light constantly variates/wavers when its turned on..

Wondering what this would mean...
