Mamewah Layout

From screenshotarchive.com I downloaded the 640x288 layout and it works fine, rather boriing but looks fine.  Seen some nice layouts and pics there....kinda like a certain pac-man one but only comes in 640x480,  I change this in mamewah config to display in that res, but it doesn't work....I tried resizing the layout and image to 640x288 but then it get interlaced and cuts off half the image and squished.  I'm using AVGA and CGA monitor, what am I doing wrong ?
