PC In A Coleco ADAM
« on: March 29, 2005, 06:35:38 pm »
All this talk about PC's in consoles as got me excited.  I want to take my ADAM Computer and put a PC in it but I need suggestions as to what Motherboard I should use.  And I need to know if any motherboards come with built in SVIDEO support.  I would like to avoid putting in a Video card if I could help it for Space reasons.  Any suggestions would be most appreciated!  Thanks

you could always get a mobo with onboard video and sound... no need for a video or sound card then.  I DO think some mobos have an SVideo port, but I'm not positive.
first off your and idiot

You might also scan ebay to see if you can pick up an s-video equipped laptop with a busted screen.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I remember playing Dragon's Lair on my ADAM  :)
I thought that cassette tape was so cool.

Look for a Shuttle SFF mobo.  They are almost as small as the mini-itx form factor, but they support P4/Athlon/A64s and some have integrated video.

Nothing witty here...move along.
