I had this problem on my MTC 9000 and I can't remember how I fixed it.

What resolution are you using?

I think you need to configure the mame.ini for your set up.

I am using 640x240 for the desktop (still have to install Mamewah and using MAME32 temporaly); It looks like the V-pot is very sensible...if I just push gently on it then it goes rolling slowly. Vertical games are OK but for many Horizontal game I need to adjust the V-sync ::)

Try 640x288 interlaced (I think that's the one)

Well now I am using Mamewah in 640x480 and nothing changed. All my vertical games works fine but many horizontal games require a pot adjustment (I believe many with 240 H lines). I set up INI files with AVRES utility... ???

Is there any chance to have the correct INI file to be used with AVRES ? ..I mean the one with the best resolution that the utility should pick up for each game?  ???
