Problems with a new LCD monitor... help needed
« on: March 24, 2005, 03:18:08 am »
I just bought a new Dell LCD monitor, it has a great picture but there is one little problem, If I just tap on my desk with a light amount of force it shuts off then turns back on? I've checked to make sure it is hooked up correctly and securely and it is. I know you're gonna say well if it is working fine don't tap on the desk and it won't shut off, but my problem is I'm gonna put this monitor into a jukebox I'm building and I'm afraid that if the jukebox gets the slightest nudge it is gonna turn off. Any ideas how to fix this? I don't know much about LCD's because this is my first so explain things to me as if you're teaching a monkey how to use tools :P. Is there some sort of battery or something that might not be connected right or loose? Anyway any help would be appreciated. thanks
