* fixed several divide chip behaviors, fixing loffire and gprider
- divide by zero just returns the divisor (needs to be verified)
- mode 1 divides are unsigned
- divides are only triggered by a write with A4 set

midvunit.c:
* turned off debugging code in the hotspots, giving a HUGE speed improvement
to the V-unit games (d'oh!)

* Fixed Pachinko Gindama Shoubu sets (Normal and DX) and added specific controls to them.
Games are now playable but with a hack on the backup ram,I don't know what's going on,
probably it's just missing nvram emulation;
* Reorganized a bit the memory map in the driver;

2413intf
* Added two new functions for the YM2413 sound chip,
YM2413_register_port_0_msb_w() and YM2413_data_port_0_msb_w(),they are used by pkgnsh.

splash.c
* Fixed Funny Strip sprite graphics.

jalmah.c
* Improved the MCU protection code for Mahjong Daireikai & fixed various ROM loading issues
now more graphics are correctly displayed.

Hm...I'd have to check this on an actual machine.  I just compiled and checked, and it doesn't look any different.  And the message about the video emulation is still there.

Is it as simple as me just renaming my existing mame.exe ( I think it is .92 ) and just dropping the new exe in the folder ?  Would like to get
past that Galaga problem ( my favorite game ), but might be for not cause Peale said it didn't work.  BTW, where can I look about compiling MAME and updating rom sets....any readme's or faq's on that.

Galaga works fine.  Yes, you can drag/drop the exe, and rename the old.  I just don't know about the starfield, it seems to look the same as the old starfield.  I compared it to an older version, and it *looks* the same.

Sweet.....that errror message in galaga sucks....but that is the cost of perfect emulation I suppose.  Well, after all this time...I finally read the mame faqs.....quite a good read, clears alot of stuff up, now I know how to get the Mortal Kombat volume normal....lol

I don't know.  Would someone with a Galaga confirm?

Galaga's starfield is multicolored. At least it is on my Midway machine.

You can install as many versions of Mame in one folder as you want, I have .53 and every single point release up to .92 installed in the same folder, each one named mame53.exe, mame54.exe, right up to mame92.exe.
