Wow, and just like that it all jumps into focus for me.
All this time, I thought I had something configured wrong, because Armor Attack isn't NEARLY bright enough in my opinion. I don't always remember having this problem (although I don't know for certain). Seems to me it crept in somewhere after 0.88 (again, not 100% sure on that).
But on Armor Attack and a number of other overlay vector games, it seems that the vectors are extremely dim, except when hit by a colored section of the overlay... I can tweak it SOMEWHAT by messing with ALPHA and BRIGHTNESS, but I don't really know what I'm tweaking, and usually making it brighter gives me this weird effect like a live burn-in (i.e. you can see trails where objects have been drawn).
So I looked, and... sure enough... all the games I have noticed this on are Cinematronics games. Well, at least it explains a lot, even if it doesn't fix me up.
Has anyone else tweaked Armor Attack for brightness? I'd like to find some good settings to make it brighter without producing the burn-in effect.
Thanks!
