Which rom for NBA Jam 4 players?
« on: March 14, 2005, 03:02:06 pm »
First let me say - I am not asking for a rom  ;)

What I need to know is:
Is there a 4 player rom for NBA Jam? If so, what is (are) the name(s)?

Ideally it'd be for Maximum Hangtime.  I've tried about 7-8 roms, and all just seem to be 2 players...kinda wierd.

I know my 4 player cab works for 4 players...but the coin/start for 3 and 4 don't do anything in the roms I have.

5 MAME cabs and counting...

Ever wonder what full side art looks like?

I think that they are all 4 player ROMs. Silly question-- have you tried remapping the controls...?

You need to press F2 to go into the service menu.  From there you change the cab from 2-player to 4-player.  You can also set the machine to free play if you like.  It may also pay to check the volume settings as a lot of the Midway machines have the sound turned down by default.

Ditto.

Although my experience is that they're usually factory set at 4 players...
