FE for Tempest MAME?
« on: March 12, 2005, 07:37:10 pm »
Can anyone suggest a Windows based FE which is usable with a Tempest CP (spinner, P1&P2, fire & zap buttons) and with a vertical (rotated) XGA monitor?

My dream FE would use the spinner to rotate a carousel of 3-D cabinets.
MAME Projects % completed:
2004 3 sided cocktail cabinet w/ modular CP <25% (discarded)
2004 Tempest cabinet & CP > 75% (sold)
2017 Raspberry Pi Zero W w/ Lakka microconsole 50%
2021 Vertical Bartop - in progress > 80%, 100% functional (sleeping)

I believe MameWah allows a mouse to be used to move the game selection cursor, and the P1 button selects the game. I assume your spinner is connected like a mouse to your PC. You're also going to have to configure MAME to allow you to exit, such as pressing P1 and P2 simultaneously.
