DDR games
« on: April 28, 2007, 02:14:52 am »
Has anyone gotten the DDR games working? I must be doing something wrong - when I run command line Mame 114 and point to ddrj for example, I get an error: gc845jb.u1 Rom Needs Redump, 845jba02.chd Not Found. My chd file is located in with the Rom directory, so am I doing something wrong, or since this rom needs a redump, is that why I am getting this error?

The chd shouldn't be in the rom directory.  It should be in a subdirectory of the rom directory called ddrj.

Doh! That worked! I copied the wrong chd file into that directory initially, so then I tried just putting it in the Rom directory. Once I put them in the correct dirs, bingo! And, it's pretty much playable; hopefully they get a better dump\optimize the emulation soon. If not, I may have to go the Xbox route - next cab is a DDR with the metal pads...

Thanks!
