UnnamedCade
« on: March 02, 2005, 04:01:14 am »
I just thought I should post pics of my cab.  Its really nothing special, generic mame cab, but this forum helped me out so much in the building process I thought i should share it.

I kept the cost really low by building a keyboard hack (which I might add works surprisingly well) and finding an old empty cab in the dump by a local arcade.  The most expensive part was painting it.  I think all in all i spent less than 300$.

Well I think that's about all that's interesting about my cab.  You can find more pics and some more info at the link below.

Those are excellent suggestions.  However,  I dont think i will actually name it.  I'm not too into naming things.  I just didn't know what to put in the title.

I think some stylized japanese characters on the side would be cool--sort of go with your marquee them there.  Have them translate to "warrior" or "honorable combat" or something along those lines.  But then again I don't know how hard it would be to find the character equivalent for a word in another language--you could just paint any old character on the side and just tell people thats what it means  :D
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I thought I was the only one that felt that way. Seems like most people pick a name before they turn the first screw. Mine is called Power Drive by my friends, because that's the cab/marquee that got used. It doesn't have a real name though. :D
