Polypropylene CP artwork
« on: February 26, 2005, 08:11:24 am »
Anybody heard of polypropylene? (not sure on spelling)

I contacted a printer today who said he could do a CP printout with an adhesive back in this material for my CP overlay. Price was exceptionally competitive. Simple case of printing, sticking down and then drilling and cutting while in place. According to the dude I spoke to a Lexan covering is still a good idea. He suggested a satin print and thought the Lexan covering would add a nice shine to it.

Interested in any experience with this material from other members. It's apparently quite different from the vinyl overlays.

Cheers.

Do you WANT something different from vinyl?

Well, no. Vinyl would be fine but nobody here does it locally. Polypropylene is a local option at a good price.

Ah, Australia. Anybody here know of any good places to get art down under? Or if polypro is a good choice? I don't know anymore. There are so many good materials. If you are happy using lexan over the top, then the material / finish isn't as important.
