Dreamcast is fun but not what I really want for my Emu's.
Store bought games are GREAT , Nintendo & SMS is 100%.

Xbox..

dont even have to read..

First, Xbox can be modded, thus media center which equals any movie or video file you want..

Emulation is outstanding on xbox.. theres your classics..

Vacation Home?  You're on vacation - why are you playing video games?  You should be spending time with the family.  :D  But if I had to choose I'd pick the X-Box or a simple laptop.

Dont put a modded xbox with all the goods at your vacation home. Put it at your REAL home :)

fish. boating by your self is not fun.

It is to me! fishing rod + beer + boat (canoe in my case) = solitude. I'd have it no other way.

That's the kind of environment where I shun technology. Get a VCR and an Atari 2600 instead.  ;)

Xbox.  It is the only console I still have hooked up (I even sold my DC  ::) ).  It is now the only component hooked to my receiver, and it does everything.  I hardly ever play games on it anymore, it is that good as a media center.

Thanks for the info. i found a New/used xbox $100.00
played around 4 times I plan on buying that.
seem strange not 1 plug for PS2  :o
as far as a PC crash. i have learned for my game PC ... Build it from scratch
get SP1 updates and yank the *%^##$ modem out of it and never put it on the web.  no more Windows crashes.  I  like the Internet but man can it be EVIL to a PC  >:(

The internet's not evil, windows is.  You want a stable secure system?  Go with Linux.

Once set up, a PC can do everything an xbox can and more.  (even play xbox games, heh heh heh)
No modding required.

Yep.  xbox is an x86 PC after all.  Someone finally duplicated it's functionality.
