Snapshots for Mame
« on: February 16, 2005, 01:22:04 am »
Hello, I have been downloading my snapshots from crashtest for years.  Now he is taking a break.  Where is the next best place to get snapshots?

Thanks,
Southpaw

OK, I can't get that to work.  Are there any other alternatives to mame32 snaps?

Thanks,
Southpaw

Here's what i did-

Go to www.mamechannel.it  They have Crashtest snaps up to .91.
Download all the zip files.  As noted elswhere on the forum, the directories in this Euro version of the collection are very different from the standard MAME directories.  To deal with it, I just unpacked all the zips with the odd paths intact, then did a search (in the directory I unpacked them) for all folders named 'snap'.  There are several hundred of them  Working in the search results window, I dragged large groups of the snap directories into a temp directory in another window.  This allows all the different snap directories to be merged into one.  Then just take the new snap directory and overwrite your MAME/snap dir. with it.

Thanks, but I already have crashest up to 91.  I am looking for a replacement so that i can update to 92.  The site you gave me is nothing more than the mame32 snaps for 92.   Anyone else using something besides mame32 to update their snaps to 92?

Thanks everyone,
Southpaw
