Arcade Monitor Specs?
« on: October 24, 2002, 11:51:47 pm »
Hi everyone,
I just picked up a cabinet with a 19inch arcade monitor in it... I'm trying to set up AdvancedMAME but am having some problems. Mainly, I have no information about the monitor whatsoever and don't know where to look. I checked the back of the monitor itself, but only one sticker was readable (the others were super dirty for some reason) and it had no specs for the monitor on it...

So does anyone have any ideas? I'm afraid to go poking around behind the monitor because I've heard bad things about getting shocked etc. Anyone know where the model # would be? Manufacturer? scan rates, etc?

I'm desperately hoping someone can help me.

Thanks!
Mustafa

yo whats up cadillacs and dinosaurs dude :D(the mustafa cool guy from that game).

well...
How many wires coming out of your monitor.

If 5 then you are okay.

Red,Blue,Green,Sync,Ground.

Its probley CGA 15 khz monitor because EGA monitors are rare and I heard they are only used for very few games like NFL blitz and nba hangtime.

You can try arcadeos frondend as we all know its friendly. You sure your monitor even works because sometimes you buy cabs and the seller just gives a broken monitor without even testing it.Happend to me once SO I know.

goto www.klov.com.  Find the game, it will say what monitor it used.
