Turning off GUI in MESS
« on: February 10, 2005, 08:14:11 pm »
Im trying to use MESS for a ATARI 5200 EMULATOR with MAMEWAH.

MAMEWAH will load the games fine. The problem is that when i go to ESC i go

back to MESS and not back to MAMEWAH.

I read in another post where someone else was having a similar problem with a

emulator in MESS,

First you need a mess.ini file. If you don't have one, open up a command prompt and navigate to your mess folder. Now type in this command and hit Enter:

mess -cc

This will create the file. Look for the section ***Mess Specific Optionss *** and change the first line, newui, from 1 to 0.

Good Luck,
John
