HC - Masterlist format
« on: October 23, 2002, 01:38:13 am »
Hey Howard,

I'm trying to create my own catver.ini files fgor my emualtors, but I would like to stay close to the format already in the catver.ini so that my data blends well into the masterlist.lst file.  Can you tell me what the columns mean in the masterlist.lst file?

Thanks.  Brian

Ignore the masterlist file... it's proprietary and you shouldn't edit it.  (also no offesne but if you can't figure out the fields just by looking then you probably would screw it up if you tried to edit it.)

The link to the version of the catver that I use is on teh homepage....

download it....

there are enough fields in it to cover all known game types, arcade or otherwise... just look at the game you want to make an entry for and see what cat a mame game like it  is given.
