Is there an end-all solution for composite yet?
« on: February 06, 2005, 01:09:01 am »
Hi guys..
I'm not trying to cut any corners here - and
I've spent some nice quality time searching for answers to this  - -
but Im thinking of building a mame cabinet with
a 29" (or higher) Television.

Theres been plenty of debate in previous posts on Svideo and Component -
where it looks like a component output is the way to go....

but has there been a end-all solution to the component hookup yet?
I see a ton of questions, but not many replies that everyone is jumping
on, as a 'standard' solution.....

If I have to do Svideo out from my nvidia card, I would - but I know from
using my BenQ LCD Projector, that component would be the way to go....

any input on a definate answer would be great...
Perferrably one that doesnt cost an arm and a leg!! haha

Thanks as always guys.
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"

From reading the forum.. I gathered that component out was a bit iffy..  Yes, the quality was better, but there was a problem with getting the component output to fit within your television's screen.  Stretching and such...

Yeah, thats all I've been able to get out of all of the posts I've read... nothing definate... I guess in my planning, I'll have to go route of S-Video...   Maybe I'll just play it safe and get a TV that also has component, just to be safe - incase any sure-fire way surfaces of getting it to work....
