Monitor woes...expert opinion needed..KEN!!
« on: February 02, 2005, 01:32:04 am »
Here are some pictures. What I think is wrong with the monitor is that the convergence is off...its not just off its damn near broke, heh. Just check out the pics. Also some other problems, there is thing bending on the sides, and in some games, there is bending everywhere. I dont think that should happen. The bending goes down once the brightness is turned down....ALOT. White is dark gray, dark. Just check the pics and tell me whatcha think. I purchased this monitor from a guy on eBay....he has not returned my calls or emails...but said he makes these monitors for Wells and Midway. I will come to his home and confront him. Yes, scary for him, isnt it?

The distortion in the whites is probably from the contrast control or brightness/screen set too high.

But brotttther is that convergence waaaaayyy off. Got be those convergence/purity rings on the neck out of adjustment. You haven't shown a picture of the purity rings on the neck of the tube yet. BTW, I just checked ebay and your seller is now down to a 95% feedback rating and all feedback is now private!  :o

Hmmmm---sure makes me wonder about this guy now.

I met the guy, he was nice, no problems. I took his word for the quality of his products. His storage had tons of monitors in it. So I figured he knew what he was doin. I will bring my complaint to him, first hand  >:(. The look on his face will be priceless.

As before,  be sure to let us know how you make out  ;)

I'm afraid that a Betson or Wells Gardner is looking better and better for me...
