Where can I purchase a 27 " or 29" Monitor for <$300
« on: February 01, 2005, 01:37:30 am »
I need to replace one of my arcade monitors.  I want to spend around or less than $300.  I can use a 27 inch or 29 inch design, with standard resolution prefered.  I have been monitoring ebay daily for a month with no good results.  Anyone suggest a place to find people selling monitors?

Cap kit on existing monitor did not do any wonders, and even Betson Technicians agree a replacement of everything is best.

Given any thoughts to an 8liners chassis, combined with a tube you find somewhere?

I browsed their website but can you give me more information on the process of doing this?  They do sell monitors but up to 25 inchs.  How easy would it be for someone with good arcade monitor experience to be able to do this to make me a 27 inch arcade monitor?

Never tried it myself, but here are some links on the subject:

If you can scrape up another $100 (And have a Betson location within reasonable driving distance), you might also consider a Betson Imperial Multisync (made by Kortek).

I have been to betson many times in Carlsdat.... I am trying to keep costs low for my company, so Betson is my last resort.

Good luck trying to find a new 27" or 29" monitor for less than $300. Just the bare picture tube costs $275.
