Sorry mate,

Hewitt made a good run at it.  You almost had a homegrown champion.  I have to admit, though, that I was rooting for Safin.  I've never much liked Hewitt.

There are quite a few people that don't like Hewitt.  Bit too arrogant.  Maybe he would have played better if he wasn't distracted of the thought of proposing to his girlfriend of 2 months after the match.

I like Hewitt, I was really cheering him on during the whole tournament. I think he shows more personality on court than most of the players do these days.

And no doubt about why he proposed to his current lady friend, she's quite the looker. Whatever happened with him & Kim Clijsters? Last I heard they were getting married and then he shows up with this little hottie.

Don't get me wrong.  His girl's a hottie.  But did you see Safin's bird?  Holy mother of god.  She's one of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen.

I dislike Hewitt.  For one thing, he's ugly.  What!!!?  He is.  But, more importantly, he doesn't just have personality.  He's an ass.  That C'MON thing is great when he yells it after pulling off some spectacular shot, but he yells it when the other guy makes an unforced error.  Lame, and bad sportsmanship.

He also has a tendency to completlely lose it at the chair umpire or linesmen for calls that were good.  It's one thing to be wrong and argue a bit, but to complete come unglued....when you're wrong, is just lame.  He does it all the time, though.

Nah...I looked for a picture and that was all I could find too.  That was last year's Australian open.  I couldn't find any pictures of the girl he had at this years.  That girl isn't even remotely close to being in the same category at the girl who he was with at this year's tournament.

I agree, that chick that Safin has had with him at the last few tournaments is a godess. Unbelivably good looking. I think my wife caught me drooling a couple times when she was onscreen! ;)

That's what I mean by personality. ;) I haven't enjoyed watching a player this much since Johnny Mac retired.

Ah, well so far this is the only picture I've been able to dig up:

Turns out her name is Dasha Zhukova, this pic was at last years French Open.
