well, what i was thinking is what would happen if you had one of them set up on your account? alot of mail servers provide the option for when your on holidays and the like.

Yes you can do it.  The question now is "why?"  It's like those people who get Adobe Premiere or another video editing program and put a different wipe in every five seconds for no reason.  Or people who 'emboss' everything in Photoshop.

I was just thinking about it cause i got an auto reply form a shop i sent an email to, and yeah, what if i had mine on. I reckon i'd get back from where ever i was with 250mb (my mail limit) of 'this is an auto reply' messages. so it'd work then? hmmm...... thats one less thing to puzzle over.

ohh yeah , floyd posted this really dumb post and we basicly all made fun of how much of a loser he was for posting it. and he was too embarassed/pissed off to come back to the boards lol

Ohhhh... I only come on the boards sporadically until I have a cab completed (current progress - 10%... which means the sides are cut, but they look quite lovely with their curves).  So anyway I must have missed that Floyd thread.

Yeah, but Dave, I remember some of your "I'm making it my mission to post" things.....you'd have lost your mind with Floyd.  Subzero just makes your neck hurt from shaking your head in disbelief that one human being could be so misguided at LIFE in general and not care a whit about what anyone thinks of him.

I think I badgered him mostly on the whole "Satanic" thing and I don't even know why now.  Subtle mockery I suppose - but in a way I wanted him to justify his random comments.  I have a habit of rooting for the underdog.  In a way I was encouraging him to blow some minds.  Nothing wrong with the poor kid, just needs a little growing up (and I've known worse than him in my HS days -- subzero).

Am I the only one he IMs?  I was under the impression he hit all of those little icons and made an extensive contact list of all the members.  Good thing my address is not on here - I think he lives near me.

If I used IM clients much, he'd have had me.  It's the preferred method of communication by that age group.  I believe it's because it gives instant feedback instead of this tedious "wait for a reply" message board format. 

I find some of the stuff you posted so friggen funny...if I hadn't learned not to eat or drink while checking out the forums, you'd have caused quite a few new keyboard purchases.

Any pictures of your new work in the Announcements, or do you not like to pull a Pixelhugger and show it when it's done instead?  (Pixel,  )

But I don't care if people try to contact me via IM.  I'm a generally friendly person.  I never sign on anyway.  But when I do it's usually to get in contact with people whose phone number I lost.

And yeah, no pics because I've had to stop work for numerous reasons (lack of money, relocation, lost passion, girlfriend needs pointless trip somewhere, used MDF to build record shelves instead, etc.).  I hope to at least have a empty cab by the end of the summer.

it's called a mail loop and most mail servers have built in settings to prevent it ( unless it's exchange of course , then you need to install a 3rd party "fix" for that , one that M$ gladly points you to)

I've never had anyone from here add me to their IM contact list.  I think if they did I'd have to block them.  I waste far too much of my time here as it is.
