Afterburner throttle control
« on: January 29, 2005, 12:15:23 pm »
I hope this question is appropriate for this forum.  I am running MAME .89 and when playing Afterburner I can't seem to figure out how to control the throttle (i.e. hit the afterburner).  This makes the game very difficult to play well.

Can someone please tell me how to set the controls to work the throttle?

Not sure about in 0.89, but in 0.90 it is set as the AD Stick Z.  Either map AD Stick Z Analog to an analog device (pedal or lever or whatever), or map AD Stick Inc and Dec to digital inputs to speed up/slow down.

Oh, and most importantly make sure you are playing After Burner 2 ;)

Thank you.

I am new to MAME and have been running MAME32, but I hope to convert over to regular MAME with MAMEWAH real soon.  HOW AWESOME!
