dc quantum fighter pad hack
« on: January 13, 2005, 06:59:56 pm »
Hi -

I'm trying to hack dreamcast pads right now. I have the real dc pads and quantum fighter pads. My soldering skills are not very good so i'm playing around with the quantum fighter pads but to know avail. Does anyone have any detailed info on hacking these things. Ive heard its easy and solderless. maybe if someone could explain the basics on this i could figure it out.

thanks

The quantum fighter pad is a no go. I have tried countless times to no avail. Check my sig for some help :)

Don't bother, I believe the Quantam pad uses multiple pads.  BTW the solderless hack is for PSOne A-Series pads, not DC.

hiub - what about the fighterpads makes it hard to hack?  It seems like I could just snip the wires leading to the individual pcb boards (or use wiretaps)...  I have a pair of these at home, and am just wondering if I'm wasting my time ripping into them or not.  I've looked over the insides of one, and it looks do-able, but I"m no electrical expert...
