XBOX LIGHT GUNS
« on: January 26, 2005, 11:02:12 pm »
Are there any light guns for XBOX available that can be used with an arcade monitor?

Dunno.

How much different is an arcade monitor from a tv?

They have guns that are designed to work with standard NTSC picture quality up to HDTV. Would an arcade monitor be akin to a good telly with component input & progressive scan?

I'd say try one of the MadCatz light guns, which are designed to work up to HDTV resolutions, but buy it at a place that you can return it to, like best buy. I would think they would work.

Nope

Aside from not having any drivers, it still wouldn't work, because the Xbox USB utilizes an extra wire (yellow), and this wire is specifically for light guns.

PC USB does not use this wire, and as such, adapters to use Xbox controllers on PC do not have this wire.
